Airman
The Central Flying School (CFS) was drawn up in 1912 and in 1913 it was decided that Point Cook, Victoria was the best location for the school. CFS flights began in 1914. The Australian Flying Corps (AFC) was subsequently formed in 1920. The Australian Airforce was formed in 1921. King George V approved the prefix ‘Royal’ in June 1921. Hence RAAF.

These Airman pieces are, kiln fired, handmade earthenware clay pieces with leather strapping. There is a cord at the back for convenient hanging.
